Training camps in the Atlas mountains with Mohamad Ahansal, 5 times winner of the Marathon Des Sables, and 10 times second place, and winner of the Atacama Desert Volcano Marathon in Chile 2013.

Mohamad’s eight day training camps in the Sahara are the ultimate choice for those wishing to train for any intense multi-stage endurance race in the mountains or desert.

The best possible way to prepare you for what lies ahead, a golden opportunity to try out your kit in-situ, ensuring that nothing is left to chance.

Price of training weekend (flights NOT included): £890 / €1,030 per person.

Sand running technique & familiarisation

Itinerary
Training camp 2017:

Day 1:
Arrival in Zagora Airport (via Casablanca); 4×4 transfer to the Bivouac AHANSAL.
Small exit 75 min.
 
Day 2:
verification of material requested in the multi marathons courses .; afternoon out 20 to 30 km; Technical explanations for running in the sand ..
 
Day 3:
morning 10 to 15 km … afternoon: 20 km
 
Day 4:
along with output back 35 km bag.
 
Day 5:
21 km in backpack. Dejunner ..Back the desert Bivouac 21 km
 
Day 6:
Long exit between 3h 5h.
 
Day 7:
Morning: visit the city and the souk of Zagora; afternoon: 15 to 20 km.
 
Day 8:
airport transfer Zagora.
 
Included in the price:
– All drives: 6-12 minutes per km.
– Land with sand; Mountain ; desert plateaus.
– Any organization 1-8 th days in the program
– All meals.
– Nights in comfortable nomad tents with shower, toilet.
 
Not included in price:
– the drinks.
– Mandatory equipment

 

You will need to bring with you:

Food as per the itinerary above (1 x Lunch, 1 x Dinner, 1 x Breakfast).

  • Backpack (you will be carrying everything you need throughout the trip).
  • Cooking kit (except the ESBIT tablets which are not allowed on the aircraft).
  • Personal items.
  • Provided for you:
